Nuntana Wongtawee (Mora) (b. 1994, Thailand) currently lives and works in Chiang Mai, Thailand, after relocating from Nakhon Pathom nearly ten years ago.

 

She began creating performance art in 2020. Her practice primarily explores issues of human rights and freedom of expression.

Although she had long been interested in and followed performance art, she never imagined becoming a performance artist herself. This changed after a case of enforced disappearance deeply affected her emotionally. The incident led her to realize the importance of taking action to preserve and share stories that might otherwise be erased from society.

 

Since then, Mora has used performance art as a medium for public expression and communication. For one year, she presented monthly performances in public spaces, creating opportunities for people to ask questions, exchange ideas, and express their views on issues that matter to them.

She believes that everyone has the right to freedom of expression and that public spaces should be genuinely open and accessible to all.
